Turnover Cleaning Services: What They Include and How to Choose One

Turnover cleaning services reset a short-term rental between guests so the next arrival finds it spotless, stocked and ready. If you are comparing services for the first time, the main thing to pin down is what a “turnover” actually includes, because it differs from one provider to the next.

What a standard turnover usually covers

• Stripping and remaking every bed with fresh linens.
• Cleaning bathrooms: toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors and floors.
• Cleaning the kitchen, running or emptying the dishwasher and clearing the fridge.
• Vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting and wiping surfaces.
• Restocking towels, soap, paper goods and other supplies you provide.
• Taking out trash and checking for damage or left-behind items.

What is often extra

• Laundry, especially washing and drying linens on site.
• Deep cleaning tasks such as inside the oven, baseboards and window tracks.
• Outdoor spaces: patios, grills, hot tubs and pools.
• Same-day rush turnarounds with a tight check-in window.
• Photos or a written report of the finished clean.

How to choose a service

• Ask for a written scope, or attach your own checklist so everyone works to the same standard.
• Check reviews from other short-term rental hosts, not only residential customers.
• Confirm how they handle late checkouts, same-day turnovers and cancellations.
• Ask whether they can send after-clean photos so you can confirm the work remotely.
• Look at the credentials they list, such as insurance, and ask for proof if it matters for your home.

On Host Wingman you describe the turnover once, local cleaners and cleaning services bid with their own prices, and you compare reviews and listed credentials before you hire. Posting is free and you pay only when the cleaning is done.
