Question 1

How do I find a cleaner near me?

Accepted Answer

Enter your city or zip code in the search bar and we'll show you available cleaners in your area. You can review their ratings, experience, and availability before posting a job.

Question 2

How much does it cost to find a cleaner?

Accepted Answer

Posting a job and browsing cleaners is completely free. Hosts pay the cleaner's quoted price plus a 5% platform fee and Stripe processing (2.9% + 30¢), only when a job is completed. No subscriptions, no booking fees, no contracts. Cleaners keep 100% of their rate.

Question 3

How do I know the cleaners are trustworthy?

Accepted Answer

Every cleaner profile shows their experience, services, credentials, and reviews left by real hosts. You can read their bio, see their photos, and message them directly before committing to anything. The reviews are from verified bookings, not self-reported.

Question 4

What happens if a cleaner doesn't show up?

Accepted Answer

No-shows are rare, but if one happens, you can quickly reassign the job to another available cleaner in your area. Cleaner reliability is factored into their rating, so repeated no-shows affect their visibility on the platform.

Question 5

How does payment work?

Accepted Answer

Once a cleaning job is marked complete, payment is processed automatically and securely. You're only charged when the job is finished, plus a 5% platform fee and Stripe processing (2.9% + 30¢).

Question 6

Can I use the same cleaner every time?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Once you find a cleaner you trust, you can book them repeatedly and build an ongoing relationship. Host Wingman is designed for long-term connections, not one-off transactions.

Question 7

Can I sync my Airbnb calendar?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connect your Airbnb listing and your checkouts automatically populate as cleaning jobs, no manual entry required.

Question 8

Is Host Wingman available in my area?

Accepted Answer

We're currently available across the US, with cleaners actively onboarding in new cities every week. Search your location to see who's already nearby.

Question 9

How does bidding work?

Accepted Answer

Hosts post jobs with their property details and checkout time. You browse jobs near you and submit your own price. The host reviews all the bids and chooses who to work with.

Question 10

Is it actually free?

Accepted Answer

Your first 30 days are free, no credit card required to start. After the trial, keeping your listing active is $1/week, and you can cancel anytime. Host Wingman doesn't take a commission. You keep 100% of your quoted rate.

Question 11

How do hosts find my listing?

Accepted Answer

Hosts search by location. Your profile shows up for hosts in your service area, sorted by distance, so the closer you are to active STR markets, the more visibility you get. A complete profile with photos and reviews ranks higher.

Question 12

Can I set my own rates?

Accepted Answer

100%. You set your own pricing and work out the details directly with the host. Host Wingman doesn't dictate what you charge or take a cut of your earnings.

Question 13

Do I need to be licensed or insured?

Accepted Answer

It's not required to create a profile, but adding your licensing, bonding, and insurance status makes your profile more competitive. Hosts can filter and compare on it.

Question 14

What if I want to update my profile later?

Accepted Answer

Edit it anytime from your dashboard. Update your service area, swap out photos, adjust your bio, whatever you need. Your profile is yours to manage.

Question 15

Is there a subscription or monthly fee for hosts?

Accepted Answer

No. Posting jobs, browsing cleaners, and messaging are all free for hosts. You only pay when a job is completed.

Question 16

What fees do hosts pay?

Accepted Answer

Two small fees, added on top of your cleaner's rate when a job is completed: a 5% Host Wingman platform fee, and Stripe processing at 2.9% + 30¢. Your cleaner is paid their full rate either way.

Question 17

When am I charged?

Accepted Answer

You're charged automatically once your cleaner marks the job complete, not when you post the job or accept a bid.

Question 18

Do cleaners pay anything to use Host Wingman?

Accepted Answer

Cleaners get a free 30-day trial, no credit card required. After the trial, keeping a listing active is $1/week, cancel anytime. Cleaners keep 100% of the rate they quote.
